The Persona Magazine

The Persona games are fairly popular in America, but they pale in comparison to the following they have here in Japan. Persona is a big deal here, especially Persona 4. The game was so popular that it spawned an anime series, numerous concerts (where they play music from the entire Persona series), and its very own magazine. Yup, you read that right; there is a monthly magazine in Japan that is dedicated solely to all things Persona.

Half the monthly magazine is used to update readers on the status of upcoming Persona games, like the PS Vita remake of Persona 4, or the forthcoming Persona fighting game from the makers of BlazBlue. It also details news about any and all Persona related goods like: t-shirts, figures, statues, CDs, anime releases, etc; you name it, if it’s about Persona, this magazine will talk about. The second-half of the magazine features the latest Persona manga series, which is based of the previously mentioned, wildly popular, Persona 4.

If you are a Persona fan this magazine is definitely cool. You can get your monthly fill of Persona for only 840 yen, or about $10, if you happen to have access to a Japanese bookstore. For everyone else, you’ll either need an import store, or a hook-up in Japan who doesn’t mind shipping packages half-way across the world on a monthly basis.
